Top Strategies to Sell Used Clothes Faster on Vinted and Make More Money
1. Post clothes according to the season
✨ Putting clothes on sale based on the upcoming season is what I have found to work really well. ✨
- Let us use October as an example. It is getting cold outside, so I put my warm Patagonia sweater on my Vinted account.
- Surprisingly, just 10 minutes after I listed it, 5 people said they would buy it, and 14 people added it to their favorites. 💖
- I realized if my jumper has such a big interest in such a short time period, I have to increase the price!
At first, I put it up for sale for 80 euros.
- I checked the Patagonia website to see how much this sweater costs now, and it was 150 euros.
- I paid about 140 euros for it last winter, but I only wore it once because I did not mind the color.
- So I thought 80 euros was way too low for such a well-known and nice item, and since everyone loved it so quickly, I raised the price to 120 euros.
- A lot of people were asking me to lower the price, and the following day I finally sold it for 100 euros! 💰
So here’s a tip: Do not put bikinis or summer clothes for sale on Vinted when winter is coming!
List them before or during the summer instead.
If you have cozy sweaters, winter jackets, or fall coats, the best time to add them for sale is during the fall.
Think of it like a store: in October, people do not go to the mall to buy bikinis; they go to buy warm sweaters and boots.
Post items for sale in your Vinted profile that correspond to the upcoming season, just like stores do.

2. Wear the Clothes in Photos to Increase Sales on Vinted
✨ Another effective tactic of mine is to showcase the garments on the wearer rather than on the floor or a hanger. ✨
People are naturally curious to see how things appear on a human body.
Like shopping, we are trying on clothes to see how we look in them.
- When shopping on Vinted, we must rely on the seller’s claims about the item’s quality, as we cannot physically inspect the garments.
So, it is easier to picture yourself in the outfit if you see the photo seller wearing it.
- You can ask the seller how tall she is and then decide if this will fit by looking at your body type.
- I found it most helpful to show how clothes look on me by putting my whole body and face on the screen to make extra cash fast. 💸
- People pay more attention to it, and selling clothes on Vinted goes quicker.
If you don’t want to show your face, you could just simply do a photo from the neck to the bottom.
A lot of Vinted users are doing it. 🙂
As an exception, I do not post bikinis and bodies on myself. Instead, I put them nicely on the floor or on a clear surface like a table or a blanket.
Inappropriate men were messaging me on Vinted, so I chose not to give them a reason to do that.

3. Add at least three pictures to help it sell faster
✨ Make sure to capture at least three photos of the item you intend to list, capturing them from various angles. ✨
- In addition to a picture of the front and back, you should also include a picture of the label that shows the brand and size, both for clothes and shoes.
For selling shoes, a simple trick is to lay your phone on the floor, hold it steady with a shoebox, and snap photos of the shoes using a self-timer to capture various angles.
!! Listings with at least 3 photos are more likely to sell !! 💖
4. Use searchable and SEO-friendly titles and descriptions
✨ When you use Google to find something specific, you only type in keywords, like “Patagonia white jumper” or “brown cowboy boots.” ✨
Make use of those terms in your title tags. 😍
- Using titles that were rich in keywords really helped me speed up the selling process.
For instance, I noticed that my Gymshark pink leggings were selling well after I included the keyword “booty lifting” in the title.
- Another strategy is to come up with a title that resembles the ones that are posted on Temu or Amazon. 💖
Just by looking at the names of the garments there, you can get a sense of the marketing terms they employ.
- Adding #The keyword into your description is another trick. ✨
If you are selling brown ankle boots, for instance, you could include hashtags like #ankle boots and #brown boots in the description.

5. Be honest in your descriptions
✨ Post an honest description below the title; if the item has flaws, say so and lower the price. ✨
Whether it is new with tags or has been used a lot, this should be mentioned.
Because people are more likely to purchase something that has never been used but is still cheaper than in the store, this will increase your sales.
- Being forthright is helpful because if you try to hide any damage, the buyer will respond negatively, and you will lose your reputation as a reliable seller on Vinted.
Thus, no one will purchase from you.
Establish credibility by providing accurate descriptions, prompt shipping, and positive feedback to every buyer. ❤️ This will ensure that you receive positive feedback in return. 💁♀️
How to Take Perfect Photos for Your Vinted Listings
1. Make photos in the daily light
If you want to sell your used clothes on Vinted faster, you should take pictures on a sunny day with lots of natural light. 🌞
To maximize the amount of light coming in, pose with clothes or place the objects on the wall opposite the window in the brightest room in the house.
Avoid taking photos at night or putting filters on photos; doing so will distort the fabric’s true color. 💡

2. Iron your clothes before taking a photo
✨ Iron any wrinkled garments before photographing them to help them sell more quickly. ✨
Similarly, if you want your shoes to look their best in a photo, you should wash off any dirt.
Increased sales are a direct result of the improved appearance of your clothing. 💖
- And may we all remember to treat each other with kindness. Make an effort to wash your items before sending them out for sale.
Not only will the buyer be grateful, but you will also feel good about yourself as an honest and capable vendor. 🙂
3. Take pictures with a clean background
Outfits will sell faster if they are photographed against a plain wall. 💁♀️
It appears cleaner and more professional.
A lot of people take selfies in mirrors, with all the clutter behind them.
If you do that, clean up your room before taking pictures. 😀
If you cannot find a blank wall, make sure the background is cute and simple. 💖
If you want to keep things neat, you could also lay the cloth on the floor or carpet.
You should only show the things you want to sell in the pictures. Do not show your whole bedroom!

4. Don’t take selfies; use a self-timer
✨ My go-to tactic is to use a self-timer to snap pictures of footwear and apparel. ✨
Selfies taken in front of a mirror are not my thing. 🤔
I get a lot more results when I use the self-timer feature.
- You can use a bookshelf to prop up your phone and set a self-timer if you do not have a tripod on hand.
I was doing it prior to the purchase of my tripod, which was a game-changer.
- If you have an iPhone and a smart watch, you can take photos by clicking the camera icon on your smart watch. 📱
Now you have three seconds to take the picture, and you will not have to run to your phone, which gives you more time to strike a pose.
The way I do it is by positioning my iPhone at eye level to show the clothes well.
- I use the front camera to take photos; why?
So I can control how I appear in various poses and make sure the product I am selling is clearly visible on the screen. 🙂

Pricing Strategies for Selling Clothes on Vinted
1. Branded or never-used clothes
✨ I’ve noticed that branded items are selling like hot buns. ✨
You can set higher prices 💰 for well-known clothing brands like Patagonia, GymShark, and Oysho, but never more than what the store is charging now.
Even so, people will still buy from you because these items are in high demand and your prices will be lower than stores’.
How many times have you bought something that looked good on you in the store fitting room but not when you got home?
I had this happen frequently, so the item sat tagged and forgotten in my closet for months!
Since it is brand new with tags, you should list it on Vinted and set the price close to what you paid for it. Customers will likely purchase it from you.
- If you are unsure of how much to charge for an item, you can always check what other Vinted users are charging for comparable products and set your price accordingly.
Be truthful and use your best judgment.
- Determine the price by asking yourself how much you would spend on it. 💸
It is entirely up to you to determine the prices of your clothing; there is no hard and fast rule or percentage guide.
And even at a slightly higher price, it is still a good deal because:
1. If the interest is low, you can always lower the price; 🙂
2. In most cases, Vinted users will offer a new lower price. Because of this, you have the option to either accept their offer or come up with an alternative. ⭐

2. When to Offer Discounts on Vinted
Dropping the price might help you sell an item faster if it has been listed for a while but has not sold yet. 💸
If this item does not sell after the discount, you might want to think about donating it so that your closet does not get cluttered.
Vinted also has an amazing feature that allows people to buy a few items from you at the same time.
It is known as a bundle. ⭐
In your account settings, you have the option to enable a bundle discount. For instance, if a customer purchases three items from you, they will automatically receive a 10% discount.
You get to choose the percentage off for the quantity of items.
Since customers only have to pay for shipping once, they will buy more clothing from you in bulk.
Everyone wins in this scenario:
- you earn more money, 💸
- you get rid of more clothes from your home,💡
- and you only have to send one package. ⭐
Why should you start selling your used clothes on Vinted?
1. Seller pays nothing
First and foremost, the seller is not responsible for covering shipping costs. The person buying your clothes is the one who pays.
The price that you put is the price that you get. 💸
So, selling your clothes on Vinted is a fantastic way to make some extra money.
2. You are getting rid of clutter
It’s time to organize your closet and say goodbye to things you didn’t wear in the past 6 months. 💡

How to pack clothes you sold on Vinted
✨ Cutting expenses as much as possible should be our goal. ✨
If we already don’t pay for a shipment, let’s also try not to pay for packaging.
Saving bags from other orders, like Amazon, and using them for Vinted is the best thing you can do.
If you do not have any boxes or bags at home, you can order cheap shipping bags from Temu.
I bought 50 courier bags for $8.
