A lot of people are jealous of my long blonde hair.
So they ask, “How did you grow them?” 🤔
Trust me, they don’t know how much effort it takes to wash and brush them! 😀
Sure, I love how my hair makes me look, but maintaining it? That’s a whole different story—it feels like a marathon.
Still, cutting it short isn’t an option (I’d look like a potato🥔).
✨ So, I’ve learned to embrace the work, and I’m here to share my ultimate tips on how to grow your hair faster and keep it beautiful. ✨
Table of Contents
1. Wash Less Often
So here’s the thing.
Since the shampooing, conditioner, and brushing altogether during my shower takes around 10 minutes, I don’t have time to do it every day. 🙁
Also, washing your hair every day can strip it of natural oils, leaving it dry and prone to breakage.
I am too lazy to wash them so often; who wants to spend hours in the shower every day? 🤔
So I am washing my hair every second day. 💖
Sometimes when I don’t go to work or have a few days off, I am even trying to wash my hair every 3rd day.
Avoid overwashing your hair, as it can result in oily roots and brittle ends. 💡
Bonus?
It saves time!

2. Wash Your Hair the Right Way
Did you know you might be washing your hair wrong?
- So this is something I learnt only a few years ago: when washing your hair, apply shampoo only to your roots and massage your scalp gently. 💁♀️
- Let the shampoo rinse down the rest of your hair as you wash it out—no need to scrub the ends directly.
- Follow up by applying conditioner only to the ends. 😍
- Use your brush to spread the conditioner evenly, and rinse well with water.
- Don’t use super hot water; hair likes when it is a bit colder.
This method keeps your hair shiny and reduces oil buildup on your scalp. ✨

3. Dry Naturally; Don’t Overheat
I know that we don’t always have time to let our hair dry naturally because we’re in a hurry to get to work, etc.
- But if you want long, healthy, shiny hair like me, believe me, reducing heat damage is key to healthy hair. 💁♀️
- Limit the use of hair straighteners and dryers.
⭐ When you have time, let your hair dry naturally. ⭐
They will love it! 💖
I also recommend investing in a good hair dryer with adjustable heat settings.
I got as a gift a Dyson hairdryer, which is normally expensive, but I am totally in love and recommend it!
Here is the link for the Dyson I am using. 💖
It has also an option to curly your hair to make beautiful waves.

4. Add Collagen to Your Routine
⭐ If you are in your 20s or 30s, it’s time, my dear, to start taking collagen supplements every day! ⭐
Collagen strengthens your hair, nails, and skin from the inside out. 💁♀️
Collagen has made my hair stronger and longer, so for the past two years I have been drinking a mixture of mine with magnesium and vitamin C before bed.
Just mix it with cold water or your favorite drink and enjoy!
Some people add collagen to their morning coffee! ☕
Seriously, I have never tried it that way because I adore my morning coffee and would never risk ruining its flavor with collagen! 😀

5. Use the Right Hairbrush
Think of your hair like delicate silk—handle it gently! 💁♀️
If you apply such a mindset, you will remember to brush your hair with care and slowly.
This will help you have your hair less damaged and broken.
I use a brush recommended by my hairdresser which detangles without pulling or breaking my hair. 💖
I also use this brush while washing my hair to distribute conditioner evenly.
Here is the link for the brush! 🙂
After the shower, when your hair is wet, start brushing at the ends and work your way up to avoid damaging your strands.

6. Massage Your Scalp
I know this might sound silly. How the hell will massage help my hair grow long and healthy? 🤔
But it works! 💡
Scalp massage improves blood flow to your hair follicles, delivering the nutrients and oxygen they need to thrive so your hair will grow faster.
Plus, it’s so relaxing! 😀
I typically neglect to massage or am unable to find the time to do so.
However, I encourage you to try it while watching your preferred series—you will be grateful for the experience. 💁♀️
Put your fingers in your scalp and do movements up and down.
7. Treat Your Hair to Weekly Masks
A good hair mask can work wonders. 🌞
Choose one suited to your hair type and apply it once a week for deep hydration.
Remember, less is more when it comes to hair products—keep your routine simple.
Remember that also a good diet helps from inside to keep your hair growing, but if you use my tips and tricks, that’s going to speed up the process. 🙂

Overall Tips on How to Grow Your Hair Faster:
Less means more
- Less heat = happier hair.
- Less product = healthier hair.
Maintain Blonde Hair with Fanola No Yellow Shampoo
For my fellow blondes: Fanola No Yellow is a lifesaver! 💖
I am adding a link for shampoo plus Anti-Yellow Hair Mask 🙂
This purple shampoo effectively neutralizes brassy tones. 🌞
- Use it once a week, leave it on for five minutes, and rinse thoroughly.
- It makes hair a bit dryer; thus, don’t use it more often than once a week, and remember to put on a mask or conditioner after to hydrate your hair.
- A word of caution: wear gloves to avoid purple-stained hands and nails!

Avoid Touching Your Hair Too Much
Constantly touching your hair makes it greasy faster. 🙁
After washing, braid it to keep it neat and fresh for longer. 💡
If I do braid, I can even survive 3 days without washing my hair! ✨
It’s because I am not touching them a lot while they are all pulled and nicely formed.
Braids also help protect your hair from damage and tangles. 💖
